Mission Statement

In order to fulfill IEEE’s mission of advancing the theory and practice of electrical, electronics, communications and computer engineering, as well as computer science and related areas, Region 10 activities are directed to developing and maintaining regional entities for the best interests and benefits of the IEEE members in the region. To achieve that mission, the Regional activities include:

To formulate goals and objectives for the Region
To plan Regional operations, including budget preparation and approval
To report officer, financial operation and meeting reports to the Regional Activities Department
To plan and implement programs in support of the local organizational units in meeting the needs of the members of the Region
To plan and implement programs for the volunteer structure of the Region, for example, develop and implement leadership training programs for volunteers and members to enhance their interpersonal skills, group skills and leadership abilities
To provide leadership opportunities for interested members to take an active role within the operations of the Region.

Student Chapter of IEEE MIT Student Branch

Our student branch was started in the year of 2017 with an initial student member strength of 20. Our branch is affiliated to the IEEE Bombay section. At present we have over 21 members in our student branch. It is very inception; it has been one of the most dynamic IEEE student branches in India. IEEE MIT-T student Branch works in accordance with the different objectives of IEEE and tries to provide the students of MIT, a competitive environment whereby their talents can be brought to light through its events. It has been consistently trying to spread the spirits of engineering and innovation coupled with dynamism and intellect.

Key benefits

IEEE membership gives the opportunity to learn from leaders and innovators of the past, present and the future. This way we develop technical, soft skills as well as professional etiquettes. Being associated with IEEE for over 5 years, I had opportunity of setting up a new student branch, member recruitment, managing accounts, organizing events and publishing at international conferences. Looking forward to an enriching and enlightening IEEE for the future!!!
