About Department
Department of Civil Engineering was established in 2004 and offers Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) in Civil Engineering. The department is devoted to research and development and is concerned with solving the engineering problems of industry and society. The Department also undertakes R&D and consultancy projects and provides feasible recommendations to various designing civil engineering structures. The department consists of all higher educated faculties.
The students of Department are encouraged to participate in various national event held in the IITs, National Sport Competition and other colleges. Department also initiates various industrial visit time-to-time to update students with industrial problems such as Jayakwadi, CWPRS, Pharola, RMC Plant, Railway yard, Sardar Sarovar Dam, etc
Message From HOD
Dear Students,
Let us start with appreciating your interest in the Department of Civil Engineering. The purpose of our department is clear and simple – ‘to transfer young minds into productive and creative citizens working toward the nation building’. The department is equipped with all necessary resources i.e. qualified faculties, state-of –the- art infrastructure and inspiring environment for the holistic growth of our students. Our department follows Dr. B.A.M.University’s syllabus and supplements them with extracurricular activities such as field visits, guest lectures, etc. The essence and uniqueness of our curriculum is the compulsory ‘In-Plant Training’ that our students must go through during their eighth (last) semester of the Civil Engineering Program. This approach gives them the real-life experiences of real field work.
The department strongly believes that our faculties and students have a role to play in solving challenges that our city and region face. Along with curriculum, our department maintains active involvement with socio-techno activities such as Smart City – Aurangabad, National Service Scheme (NSS), Unnat Maharashtra Abhiyan (UMA) and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA).
This website provides an overview of our academic programs, various activities of the department, facilities, profiles of faculties and details of student activities. I hope that you will find this website informative.
If you are a prospective student or work in the area of Civil Engineering or a visitor who want to get in touch with us, you can directly contact the HOD office by email hodcivil.mitt@mit.asia. We look forward to having an interaction with you. Thank you for visiting us.
Best wishes,
