Training & Placement Cell
- The Training & Placement Cell sends invitations to companies/organizations along with relevant information or Companies/Organizations approach to Training & Placement Cell/Institute with job requirements.
- A detailed Job Description, Salary information, Place of Posting, Selection Procedure etc is obtained from the companies through email/telephonic discussions.
- Notices regarding the drive are being circulated among the students. Interested students show their willingness to participate in the drive by registering registers themselves through the links shared. If required Training & Placement Officer conducts orientation program to maximize the participation of students.
- Training & Placement Cell submits all the details of registered students and their CVs to the company.
- The company shortlists the candidate from the application pool and then sends the same to the Placement Office.
- A mutually convenient date for the selection process is finalized.
- On the recruitment drive date, delegates from the company conduct the selection process (i. e. Aptitude Test, Group Discussion, Personal Interviews etc as per company policy) with the help of faculty and student coordinators. It’s mandatory for all registered students to participate in all the selection process rounds of the company unless rejected midway by the company.
- Companies may also conduct the complete process online through Skype or another relevant platform. If required, students can be sent to company office for the selection process.
- The company/ organization is required to furnish the final list of students as soon as the selection process gets completed.
- Feedback from the recruiters about student’s performance and quality is collected and is passed on the respective departments for further necessary action, if any.
- The offer letters of the selected students are sent by the companies to the Training & Placement Cell which is then handed over to the students. Acceptances of the offer (provided by the students) is received and sent to the company by the Training & Placement Cell.
- Training & Placement Cell follow ups with the student and ensures students join the company on scheduled date.
Purpose: This policy lays down the procedures for assisting the students to find placement in the industry at the end of the program. The policy also highlights the Standard Operating Procedures to be followed by Final Year students of UG and PG Courses.
Scope: Procedures laid down in this document are applicable to all the eligible and interested students of final year (UG & PG courses) of this institute
Eligibility & Registration & Participation in the Campus Recruitment Drive
- All the students must refer the Training & Placement Cell Notice Boards/Notices circulated to them regularly and should follow the instructions issued to them.
- All the students who expect to graduate from the institute by the end of academic year and are seeking employment may register for participation in campus recruitment drive
- Only interested students should register for Placement and registered students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment drives as per the eligibility mentioned by the company.
- Disciplinary action will be initiated against students involved in any in-disciplinary activities / unethical practices in any stage of campus recruitment process.
- All the information filled by the student while registering for the drive has to be true. If found Incorrect, the student will not be allowed for the placement activity of the college till the end of the academic year.
- No Candidate/Student will be entertained in Campus Recruitment Drive after the deadline of registration.
- After Registration for placement process, if any student is absent for company recruitment process, he must submit an application to Training & Placement Officer with genuine reason.
- Wearing formal attire and college ID card during the recruitment process is Mandatory.
- Companies visiting the institute for campus recruitment are categorized as Core Engineering Companies and Non-Core Engineering Companies, on the basis of job profile offered by them and their business domain. This categorization will be announced by time to time by the training & Placement Cell.
- Every student, who fulfills the eligibility criterion specified by the company, may attempt the recruitment process of any company until he/she gets the first offer. If this first offer is from Non – Core Company, to acquire second job offer, students may participate in the recruitment drives of Core Engineering. No further attempts will be permitted to the students who have secured offers from Core Engineering irrespective of job profile, salary offered, etc.. If a student secures an offer from Core Engineering, his/her Non-Core Normal Offer, if he / she has secured before, automatically stands cancelled.
- Students who are applying for higher education should not participate in campus recruitment drives.
- Once registered, students will not be allowed to withdraw their candidature, from a particular campus recruitment drive unless there are some exclusive points mentioned in the pre-placement talk of which the students were not appraised of earlier. In such a case, exceptions can be made only after the consent of the TPO. Any student who withdraws candidature, rejects offer at any stage, remains absent from any rounds during recruitment process without sufficient reason, will not have any further claim for Training & Placement Cell Services
- Any student, who approaches the company officials for revaluation of aptitude test, etc. or attempts any type of canvassing during the campus recruitment, will be disqualified from T & P activities permanently.
- It is compulsory for the students to attend and perform well in the Mock Tests, Training Sessions, etc. organized by Training & Placement Cell from time to time for progressive improvement of students.
- Students are required to note that the Training & Placement Services is a facility offered by the Institution and cannot be construed as a guarantee of a job offer. The decision regarding making job offers is left to the discretion of the companies participating in the Campus Recruitment. At the end of academic year, if any students are not placed, Training & Placement Cell will extend support to such students for off-campus and on campus recruitment drives if allowed by the respective company..
- The terms in this policy will be reviewed from time to time and may be modified by Training & Placement Cell as per the situation demands and as per the directives from higher authorities of MIT Aurangabad.
