Admissions to various courses in Engineering and Technology are carried out by two main modes, namely, through Central Counseling and direct at Institute level. However, the eligibility criteria in both the modes remain the same.
The Central Counseling is conducted by a Competent Authority like the Directorate of
Technical Education (DTE), Mumbai in Maharashtra State. Central Counseling is
conducted for 80% of the total seats in each branch (65% seats for candidates from the
home state and remaining 15% seats for candidates from all over India, which may
include home state candidates also). A notification is issued by the Competent Authority
every year announcing its procedure for Central Counseling.
Candidates interested to seek admission (20% seats in each branch) under Institute level
quota, can follow the steps as below:
a. Contact Dean (Admissions)
b. Present your all documents to check eligibility criteria (either personally, through e-mail or by fax) for verifying your qualifications details.
c. If you are eligible to seek admission, then you will be informed accordingly.
d. You will be required to complete the formalities like registering on the DTE portal against a notification for admission, getting your documents duly verified, and possessing valid DTE Merit Number.
e. Your admission will be confirmed subject to availability of seats and your merit status.
