The Department of Civil Engineering was formed with the primary objective of providing quality education, while addressing the problems of present & future. Strength of the department lies in the highly motivated staff and students who understand the dynamics of the industry and have their skills accordingly. Keeping in the view syllabus of this department is highly matching with the today's requirements.

You are welcome to Department of Civil Engineering. The main objective of department is to prepare students for successful career in Industry, Research and Academics to meet the needs of growing technology. All the labs of the department are well equipped. In addition to the regular academic activity, the department also offers testing and consultancy to various government and private agencies by involving the students, which helps students to get actual practical knowledge. Many of the students are involved in large number of social responsibility and extension activities under National Service Scheme (NSS) and Unnat Maharashtra Abhiyan (UMA). The students are always encouraged to excel in co-curricular as well as extracurricular activities. We have highly qualified and experienced faculties with diverse area of expertise. I am confident that your education at our department will bring you up as a technologically superior and ethically strong engineer.

    During the academic year 2015-2016: To provide insights about practical aspects and importance of Energy, Environment and Economy in real life situations and how one can involve to evolve the best practices in Energy conservation, Environment protection, and reachout the stakeholders at optimum cost; Introduced and executed this concept of Energy, Environment and Economy (EEE), wherein the students of final year of all the domains of engineering in MIT have to correlate these concepts to their projects with data, graphs and to draw inferences. 

    Provided the inputs to HODs about EEE concept,have few rounds of deliberations and discussions with presentations of HODs and Departmental Project Coordinators  and clarifying sessions with the prospective students for arriving at executing SoPs. Successfuly executed during the academic year 2015-2016. I thank all my colleagues those have wholeheartedly executed EEE concept in their department.
